Turns Out We Glow, Too!

Cuddlefish Bioluminescence
Cuddlefish Bioluminescence

Every once in a while, I stumble across an article that’s more than just information. It feels like a whisper. A tap on the shoulder from something Higher. Not casual reading, but conversation. A continuation of something I’ve been dialoging with for years.

This one? Oh, it’s only *nine years old*. Practically vintage in internet years. But somehow, it just now decided to waltz into my life like, “Hey, remember me? You’re ready for this now.” And honestly? It landed right on time.

The article was about light. Not metaphorical light—though that’s there too—but actual, visible light. Human light. Apparently, we glow. Science has shown it. There's a soft shimmer coming off of us, biophotons, visible light that our bodies emit. You can’t see it with the naked eye—not yet—but it's there. It reminds me of something I saw years ago at the Monterey Bay Aquarium. If you’ve ever seen the Cuttlefish, you know. They shimmer with this radiant, otherworldly glow. Mesmerizing. Almost magical.

Well… turns out we do too.

I’ve always been drawn to bioluminescence. It’s a word that held energy for me long before I understood it. A spiritual echo. Something that said, remember who you are. And now, here’s the science to back it up—nine years later, still glowing:

You Can’t See It, But Humans Actually Glow in Visible Light: https://www.sciencealert.com/you-can-t-see-it-but-humans-actually-glow-in-visible-light

I remember thinking years ago—maybe we don’t need science to confirm what the mystics already knew. But when it does, it’s like a nod from Spirit: Yes. Keep going.

People talk about auras. Seeing energy fields. Feeling someone’s light. Some of us do see it. Or feel it. Maybe our senses are evolving. Or maybe we’re just remembering what we’ve always known. That we are radiant beings. That there’s more to this body than flesh and bone. There’s a shimmer. A signature. A soul frequency that shows up in light.

It’s like the rainbow. You see the arc, the colors—but you also know there’s more. Just outside of view. Just beyond the visible spectrum. But it’s there.

And maybe, just maybe, this is what it means when the scripture says, I was blind but now I see.

It’s not just spiritual awakening—it’s also energetic awakening. A reclaiming of sight. Not just with the eyes, but with the heart, the field, the body that knows beyond knowing.

So when I read something like this, I don’t just scroll and forget. I light up. Because it’s part of the conversation I’ve been having all along. With the Divine. With myself. With the mystery.

And I hear the whisper again:

Yes. Keep glowing. Keep remembering. Keep seeing.
