Arriving on Time

Writing is my thing, but it didn't used to be. Now, I like utilizing my intuitive abilities to recount the stories I experience.
The moon was full that night in January. My almost 18-year-old son and I decided to pick up a veggie pizza and spinach salad with amazing toppings from the only place in Oroville, California, worth going to: Celestinos. The atmosphere was just right, with the smells of Italian Cuisine and many options, including one of my favorites – the calzone. I hate to admit I sometimes go off the diet, but tonight felt like a moment worth celebrating; I finally arrived at work.
Until then, I was a mess of jumbled sticky notes and handwritten instructions on how to do everything from filing overdue notices to schmoozing with the faculty. Meanwhile, another ability I hadn’t recognized before came through—super-organizational skills! This wasn’t the self from the past I remembered being, the me who stymied, spilled, and kept a pile of messy, unorganized notes in the drawer.
Even as I took notes while in training to be the new librarian at my children’s school, I’d stop mid-page on my legal pad and start fresh. I soon realized what I was doing quite naturally but had never done before—sorting by subject. This might not seem like an ability of a super-sensible nature to most people; however, I have a learning disability. Organization has never been one of my strengths.
What the heck am I tapping into?
The intuition – a well-developed ability after many years of spiritual reading—came to me naturally once I remembered to relax and be myself at my new job.
